+ Strong - Newt is a strong cat, emotionally. After her father exile she has devoted herself to be mentally strong for her siblings and to keep their family together.
+ Loyal - Despite her father being exiled and known for being a questionable cat, she is very loyal to Thunderclan.
+ Motherly - She tries her best to act like a mother to her siblings since their mother died after they we're all birthed.
= Protective - She's protective of her siblings which causes her to be a bit over-protective at times and cats she loves.
= Blunt - Newt isn't afraid to speak her mind at all.

[ HISTORY ]

TRIGGER WARNINGS - Abuse / neglect
Before birth

Sweetpaw was always the one he wanted, she was just so nice and kind to everyone..Even to someone like him. Thistlepaw never really had any friends and was always called a 'troubled apprentice' for how rude and impulsive he was, noone every really looked in his direction but everyone seemed to love the folded ear cat namedSweetpaw. The silver smoked turkish angora mix always was jealous but also admired how sweet she was, wishing he could get that attention and everytime she spoke to him -- Thistlepaw couldn't look her in the face and tried to ignore her but she kept trying and finally the two became friends.

"You don't think i'm a nuisance? A rogue?" He looked into Softpaw eyes, his own watering. No-cat was ever nice to him and she kept showing him undeserved kindness.

"I think you're wonderful, they just don't see that." She mewed softly touching her nose to his, folded ears slightly lifted from her skull.

"I-I love you." The dark colored tom mewed, "I really do..." He wheezed slightly, feeling his pelt heat up at the touch but his eyes still rained down streams of tears.

"I love you too."

Moons later after they became Sweetwillow and Thistlepelt, the two became mates and decided to have a family but Sweetwillow wasn't the strongest cat and was weak once the kittens we're born losing more blood then she should've.

Kithood
Thistlepelt felt his heart break at the sight of his mate - weak and tired, ready to leave the world at that moment. "Please don't leave me.." His voice was deeper than his apprenticeship and he didn't want her to leave him..He wasn't ready, they we're both still young and it was unfair. The four kittens had folded ears like her, it hurt him..Despite how they looked like him somewhat, it still hurt. "I named....Them....I want this kitten to be named Newtkit...This one named Jaykit....You can name these two." She wheezed, "Don't force yourself to keep talking, it's alright." The tom mewed, "I'll name this one that looks like me...Toadkit and t-this one will be Softkit." The feline choked, and she smiled at him slowly fading away and eventually died.

As the siblings grew older, Thistlepelt didn't accept them and often called them harsh names and neglected them and blamed each one for their mother death. Newtkit didn't like this and often quarreled with Thistlepelt telling him to back off and such which often got her smacked or pushed out of the way.

Apprenticeship

Thistlepelt grew more aggressive as they grew up and still treated them all poorly despite how they all we're innocent and didn't do anything wrong and often helped the clan the best they could and Newtpaw tried to get her father to approve of them but was often shunned or growled at, Newtpaw hated this and vowed to protect her siblings from her father.

One day -- Things turned bad.

Jaypaw never wanted to be a soldier but his father was forcing him and was his mentor, training him harshly to the point were he became sick - over worked and tired. Due to this, Jaypaw died from exhaustion as his weak body couldn't take it anymore and Thistlepelt behavior got him exiled from the clan after being warned so many times.

Warrior hood
After that day, Newtshade never forgave herself for not being able to protect Jaypaw and blames herself for it despite not being the one who killed him -- she misses him dearly and is protective of her family.
